On 14th of May in 2014 I went for a walk with my camera, whose shutter froze after only a few shots. At that time of the day, the light in the city was rather unique, so I decided to memorize the five or so scenes that I encountered along my stroll. Returning home, I wrote down descriptions of what I had seen.
After a few weeks, I got my apparatus back from the repair shop, and tried to repeat my walk, and catch the lost views anew. Out of these two archives, textual and photographic, I developed the piece Views 14.5.2014 (Näkyjä 14.5.2014), with the aim of evoking the light that was only captured in my memory.
