How can I depict all that is not complete, clear, direct, unambiguous? How does one depict past experiences and memories? The gaze of the archivist layers the history, and my photos transmit moments from my life. I suppose that is all I can say. Nonetheless, if I would say more, I would tell that Etäisyydet (Distances) are attempts to remember and understand in a way that does not exclude alternative readings for understanding and remembering; the alternative history.
